It is with great sadness that we announce that one of the founding players of BBRFC, Mike Wetson, unexpectedly died of a heart attack on Thursday last, 30th July, aged 71. He had had a total knee replacement the week before and was looking forward to being able to be more active. But, sadly, it was not to be. Mike had a distinguished Rugby career being a Cambridge Blue in 1958, 59 & 60 and also playing for Wasps. He is pictured below in the first game of Brussels British in September 1968 (on the floor front of the photo). We send our sincere condolences to his wife Susan and their children at this very difficult time – our thoughts and memories are with them.
